Sony DSC-T70 CyberShot memory/battery cover broken

Unlike most brands/ models of cameras, the Sony CyberShot (DSC) cameras feature internal memories, (not enough to hold sufficient data). If you took a few shots before inserting the memory card, the pictures are stored in the internal memory. You can transfer/ delete those pictures by the following steps.
1. switch off the camera,
2 open the battery/ SD card slot cover and remove the SD card.
3. close the cover and switch on
4. press the display/ preview button and your picture should be visible on the screen.

You can now do whatever you want with your picture.

Not sure what you mean by the vibration problem. But there are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. But you'll need to use a memory stick USB card reader with them (they're inexpensive and available on Amazon). This article reviews some of the better freeware software available. Although I recommend MiniTool Power Data Recovery as the most effective of those listed.

Follow these steps:

1. Turn OFF cam
2. Remove the battery or the power supply
3. Turn the switch to CAMERA for about 30 sec
4. Turn the switch to OFF
5. Install the battery or power supply
6. Turn the switch to MEMORY
7. Open the LCD cover and press the RESET button ( small inner button )
8. You will be prompt to adjust date/time. Do it
9. Take some pictures

To remove/insert the memory stick pro duo from your Cybershot DSCW55, follow these steps :

• Open the battery/memory stick duo cover
• Remove the battery pack
  
• Remove/insert the memory stick duo (insert with the terminal facing the camera lens)
• Insert the battery pack and close the battery/memory stick duo cover

I know for a fact that this company, Teleplan Camera Repair, replaces battery covers. They would have your part for you.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC T70 and it keeps saying "Reinsert memory stick" whenever I turn on the camera or slide down the camera lid. Also, whenever I try to view the pictures on my laptop it shows "Please reinsert the memory stick" something along those lines. As I have been researching for the solution, I would have to format the memory card. However, I wouldn't want to lose the pictures as I just took many as from the holiday last week. The only problem is the memory card, I tried using another memory card and it works fine with the camera. There is nothing wrong with the camera.\r\nCan someone please help me how to solve the memory stick problem? It would be great. Ty.

I suggest that you contact Sony PAS to get the new Battery cover at 1-800-488-SONY (7669)

Then, contact the nearest dealer to get the Battery door fixed instead of sending for service.
All you have to do is, press the pin on both the sides of the Battery door and insert in the hole available for battery door on camera.

I'm afraid I do not have info about parts shops in UK so please check with nearest Sony Service Center for that part.

Insert memory card, press HOME >> MANAGE MEMORY and select COPY option. Camera will copy internal photo files on memory stick.
