Okay here is the problem.... First off let me sya that i am not using the full version of the software.
I have video which is mpeg2 format. After it is converted then sent to the server the video plays great but sound is not there...then after a while sound is back. Interviews are not being heard but music that was put in for the backdrop duting the editing process is being heard....I use adobe Priemere Pro 2.0 to edit the videos they render the vidoes in AVI format....
I then use another program to get it to the mpeg2 format. The name of the program is MainConcept h264 Encoder.
I am very frustrated and confused because content that was playing fine 2 weeks is now playing without sound?

First try uninstalling the version you are using and install the latest version 5.2, Then open an .swf file in the player and close the file. Now open the video file you were trying to play. The sound must be audible. Try this solution, if the sound was audible in other video players and not audible with MPCStar player.
your problem seems to be that you uploaded the same playlist (schedule) to both of the, you need to create separate instances of the control software (or at the very least separate groups of players even if each group has only one player) and then upload the correct playlist to each one. At present you are sending the same information to both places and thus creating the same schedule in each player.
Sometimes uninstalling the sound drivers, and reinstall a new version, solve this particular problem, other, can be, move your sound card, to another PCI slot if is external sound card*.
install Direct X 9.c, and finally, stop any antivirus program on the background.
see if work better.
