Mine is the same. Did anyone try disconnecting it? If so, did this resolve the problem?Mine is the same. Did anyone try disconnecting it? If so, did this resolve the problem?

I used the double pronged sterio clip release things that you poke in the 2 holes either side of the unit to release the fixings then pulled the unit out disconnected the blue plug from the back by first pushing the black plastic retaining clip to the side which releases the blue plug. I then took the unit indoors, gave it a tap on all edges, removed the metal top by depressing the small recess clips on the edge then sliding the side beack and removing it. I then gave it a damned good blow in all areas inside. I then reassembled, reconnected and tested it before I pushed it all the way back in until it clipped back into the fixings. It works perfectly !!

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Peugeot service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
Anything is possible with a bit of fore thought ,take old one out then try to fit the new one the wiring plugs should be the same for two of them but the third one will work the changer so leave that disconnected
go to the torrent site thepiratebay.org and download the radio decode package and their are numerous packages in this download including the one you need ,watch the antivirus though as it will say they are all viruses but beleave me i havent had anything untoward form this package it is just they .exe programmes and the antivirus doesnt like this sort of programme
Hi, I know this is an old post, but I'll reply, so that other readers may get the benefit of my answer.
2004 was the year that Peugeot/Citroen changed from VAN bus to CAN bus wiring on their stereo's. If your car is before or early 2004 you will need the IDC-A09 blaupunkt in dash changer, which should just plug in and work straight away.
However, If your car is later 2004 onwards you will need the IDC-A04 Blaupunkt changer which will plug in and power up, but will not work properly untill you go to a peugeot dealer and they hook up some diagnostic software to tell the car a changer has been added. Both the IDC-A04 and A09 changers look identical.
I would say that you got the wrong changer, as the IDC-A09 changers in pre/early 2004 should just plug in and work.
Remember: Pre 2004 cars need IDC-A09 (plug and play) and Post 2004 cars need IDC-A04 changer (get pug dealer to reprogram cars computer)...its a costly mistake if you bought the wrong one!
I had the same problem with my 2002 307SW.
I read on another forum to switch ignition off, remove CD changer from dash and disconnect. It then told me to remove the lid from the case unscrewing the screws marke 1 to 5 then remove the Cd's. The only problem with this is you need a special size 'star' driver bit which i did not have at home and could not unscrew them. What i did was to use a terminal screwdriver in the 2 larger screws that fasten the front plastic cover on the unit. Once I had done that I could remove the CD's.
I then connected the changer back up and inserted it back into the dash. I then powered the radio back up anf loaded a CD and the problem had gone away so I loaded the 5 CD slots and everything works fine now.
Blaupunkt supply a repair kit for this unit, this basically is a fix. but only works for 8 out of 10units.
its a pain to fit too.
you have to replace the 3 spindle guides and arms. the part number is : 8619001490 there a reall complicated thing to fit.
i am looking to get a install guide sorted. and will soon be selling the kits on my website www.carradiospares.co.uk
