Buzzing sound It is making a buzzing sound that I can hear but the other person on the line does not hear it. I took the phone to Staples and they replaced the batteries, but that did not fix the problem. I have the Audex modification for the hearing impaired and I do not have another phone that I can use to call Audex (800 237 0716). Thank you. [email protected]

Na. Just remove the battery from all the phone and put them back in. Then do a factory reset on each handset...

SOURCE: constant Buzzing sound on recipients end

it might be due to EMI(electromagnetic interference). if other phones or internet lines r nearby, u can hear the buzzing sound.. if EMI is the cause, then its best to keep the phones isolated from the devices causing them. Good luck!!

How do i fix my phone, it rings, but i cannot dial out and there is lots of static and buzz when i pick up the phone

Do you have other phones on the same line?
Are they clear or do they have the static. If it is a telephone company old copper line and it happens on all phones it maybe a Telco problem.
tip

A fax machine is just a big ol' telephone answering machine

There is no mystery, seriously. You send a fax exactly the same way as you make a phone call; instead of talking to a person, your fax machine talks to another fax machine. Clicks, squeals, buzz sounds.

If it says it's busy, well, it's busy
If it doesn't answer, it's not set to AUTO RECEIVE
If it says OFF HOOK another device is using YOUR phone line.
If you don't hear a dial tone when you press the HOOK or MONITOR key, the phone line is dead. Check the line with a regular phone.

If a dial tone sounds weird, it is a DIGITAL phone line. You need an ANALOG or regular phone line.

ALL FAX MACHINES ARE ANALOG DEVICES AND WILL NOT WORK RELIABLY ON A DIGITAL SYSTEM OR A COMPUTER....Magic Jack, Vonage, etc. are DIGITAL PHONE SYSTEMS. Don't believe what the Vendor tells you. They are for designed for VOICE GRADE PHONE CALLS ONLY.

The settings in your fax machine were designed by people who are a lot smarter and make more money than us. DON"T MESS WITH THE PARAMETERS.

It's all that SIMPLE !!

What is cause of Buzzing dial tone

This phenomenon is the phone lines and phone instrument rectifying the RF signal from your cell phone as it communicates periodically with the cell sites. The energy is rectified (turned into voltage) by the phone lines and appears as a buzzing pulsing noise in the home phone. This will trash a fax completely. There is NO solution except to turn off the cell phone or orient it away from phones and phone lines sufficiently to stop the interaction. You could put hte phone in a RF proof bag (metalized film) which would then prevent it from receiving an incoming cell call. Either way, you lose some usability of either home or cell phone for the duration of the issue.

check Grounding Connection. Also check Security Alarm interface

Static (buzzing) on your line are produced from analog equipment in your phone system (your phone and phone cable). When the phone adapter receives the sound data, it digitizes the data and eliminates the possibility of producing static or buzzing. Try using a different phone or replacing the phone cable and test if that resolves the issue.

not hearing a dial tone.

If you do not hear a dial tone, please check the following:

• Make sure the telephone and VoIP telephone adapter are plugged in

• Disconnect and re-connect the telephone cable

• Make sure your telephone is set to ring (not set to pulse) If the above items have been checked, it is possible your phone adapter needs to be rebooted.

• Reboot your equipment as described in "Rebooting Your Equipment."

• If this doesn't work, try the solutions as described in "Calling Issues with Firewall/Router"

Take care..

It sounds like the motor is not running; it sounds like it wants to kick on, but it will make a buzzing noise and stop.

Most likely the compressor is not starting. You did not mention size or model but I am assuiming it is some where between 17.5 and 21.7 cu ft. The buzzing noise you hear is either the start relay of the compressor itself due to a locked rotor. If the unit is less than 8 years old call for service. Usally the tech / repair person will replace the start relay and Klixon thermal overload first in an attempt to see if your unit will start. That person may also have to replace the run capacitor also. If after the replacement of these relatively inexspensive parts the compressor still does not start due to an interanl failure of the compressor itself then the bottom line is a full blown compressor replacement that with the cost of the service call, labor, parts and freon can cost almost 50% of the cost of a new Refrigerator. Good luck.

Talkin between two parallel phones

Simple. Press 161 on one phone set. After you hear the beeps, put the receiver down. You'll hear both phone sets ring. Now you can pick up your receiver and the person on the other floor can pick up the receiver there, and you can talk. There is no cost involved.

Buzzing on the phone line

Buzzing phone lines can be a multitude of problems. The prior post that I saw for you stated that the person on the other end did not hear the buzzing. This tells me that you have a cordless phone. If this is the case first try cycling through the channels listening each time for a clear channel. If that does not work consider changing the battery in the hand set. If you have been experiencing lessend battery life " talk time" this can cause buzzing as some phones loose transmit and recieve strength. Always consider the price of a new phone compared to the parts for an old one which may have a few other defects.

My new Razar V3a makes buzzing sound

If the buzzing is coming from the keyboard then it's a known problem/feature. Got the same on mine when the keypad is lit up, so rag Motorola, who said sorry, known feature with that model.
