I have the same problem and you can't put the player in MSC mode because it is stuck.

Go to sandisk.com and download the updater. It should do a rescue and fix the firmware. Download the file, install it -- without having the player on the system. MAKE SURE you put the player in MSC, if you can.

Sansa e250 dispyaying synchronize to continue music subscription

If your music has DRM it willonly allow you to sync once. they want you to repurchase the music. Try syncing music that is DRM free. If the new file work that is your problem.

Can't add or remove music off my Sansa Rhapsody 2GB

first try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Music appears in the folder, not on the Sansa

try formatting it. to do that, simply scroll down to settings, and in settings hit format. you'll lose everything that was on it tho, if that don't work then try updating.

Audio is messed up!

First, make sure you didn't download an instrumental.
Second, make sure the files are in a format that the player recognizes.
If both conditions hold, then upgrade the firmware - you have a corrupt DB.

Sandisk Sansa e260 gone retarded 4.0GB

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Wont open music folder

The folder option won't work particularly well - use Windows Media Player instead. If you continue to have problems:
Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:

Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Sansa music transfer problem

Thats probably the best idea to erase everything and start anew. You can format the device in My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Right Click on it and select Format. This will erase everything on your device. If you are getting Bad Track from just a few songs, just delete them as they may be corrupt. Also, you need to keep some free space on the device to create the database. Keep at least 6MB free for every GB. Best of Luck.
