A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. -Try to turn off and turn on your printer
-check your connection

-go to start/setting/control panel/printers and faxes
-right click "hp deskjet 6940" and click on "use printer online"

-go to windows logo/control panel/devices and printer/right click on the printer driver, click on "see whats printering" click printer and uncheck use printer offline

In Control Panel - Printers, Right-click the Dell 1710N and remove check for Offline.
