Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player
I have had the same issue with my Sansa when putting some media types on it. I have had to install the firmware again. It is a slight pain, but your player will work again. I'll post some steps from a crash solution to fix it. 1. Switch the player's hold button on. Hold down the record button and power up at the same time. This will bring you into recovery mode. Now plug your player into the computer. 2. Go to http://www.sandisk.com/assets/file/downl... and download that program. Run the program and select yes to format and install the new firmware. 3. Unplug the player and wait for it to reset. This will install the old firmware version, so once it is working again, go to the sandisk site again and download the updater for the firmware and install that. These are the simple steps to a firmware fix, and should take care of the problem. -JJ ...let me know if there are issues with this. There is another way to install the firmware if this one doesn't work.

after loading music and disconnecting from the computer i turn on the e250
sansa and refresh database appears and the bar makes it about half the way across the screen and then the screen goes white.
I had the same problem but another is that what is the file to be downloaded because the link you have given is not complete. can you give me the complete link to it. you can email me at [email protected] my firmware version is old since i have not updated it after i bought my player. thanks
How do I reformat my Sansa mp3 player?
I can't switch it on, because it does this weird restarting thing and the menu will not come up at all.
It shows the SanDisk logo and then the whole screen just goes white, and it does it over and over again.
I know someone else had the same trouble... but I don't know how to reformat it :(
how can this be done?
how can i format it in recovery mode?
