Hi, I just recently bought a Fly Video 2000 FM TV turner card and for some reason I can't record any sound, but I can with video, when I try to do so on LifeView TVR Version 3.21.400. I get an error "Cannot render audio capture stream" as soon as I try to record something.
I tried everything to enabling the line-in on my settings in Windows XP, and tried playing around with a whole bunch of other settings on the Lifeview TVR too. I've also noticed when you go to the audio settings in Lifeview TVR, there is a field called Recording Control, but its always left blank.. Above it is Audio Input Source, and I can change it to anything accordingly, but Recording Control doesn't give me anything to select.. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my problem overall.. ?
Sorry for my english, i have 2 mother board Gygabyte, one with Realtek chip ALC888B, the other with Realtek ALC850.
The card Life view fly tv prime 30, work ok in record video e audio with l' ALC850 and do not work (yes video no audio) with ALC888B.
On the "Audio Settings" in the Life View software, at the "Audio Input Source" on the drop down arrow, select "None". This settings will use the internal PCI Bus for listening and recording TV. The audio loop back cable in this case is not needed anymore.
This would seem to be the design of sound cards on current motherboards. I don't know how they can get away with selling them, as they make many tasks impossible. My TV card had the same problem, as did Audacity. I fitted a sound card, but lose a PCI space on the board. The firm I bought the board from refuses to show my review, and Realtek have yet to reply to emails.
If on XP, go to control panel, sound and audio devices property, go to the Audio tab, select the default device, recording device, note these should be the same device, I.e the mother boards sound card not any other virtual mother board. now go to the voice tab, change voice playback and voice recording to the default device. apply and exit. open the audio setting of the TVR, recording control should be line in. now u can record.

This is a free dvd decoder program that you need for your audio. http://files.uberdownloads.com/apps/lps/index.php?product=vlc
This will do simple files, but it is more complex file it might take a software like nero 8.

Exactly the same as described above. Anyone found the solution yet?
Yes, I have the same problem as above. Please can someone tell us the way to fix this problem with the audio?
I have the same problem. It's got to do (probably) with Realtek 888 audio not having a separate slider for recording line in. I have found no solution yet. Maybe one should tweak the setting files.
Yes the same problem... i've tried everything.. but nothing... please someone help us!!!
yep. me too
I have the same problem , I think it is a compatability issue between my TV Tunner Card (Lifeview TV Prime 30) and the Audio of my motherboard (Realtek)
I didn't find a solution yet but I have a seprate sound card from my old PC I think I will install it and use its line in in the recoding from the TV tunner card if I couldn't find a solution soon
