Panasonic NVGS4 camcorder problem

I had the same problem. Mine happened when the temperature was somewhat cooler than normal.

Your Camcorder supports video recording using the Tape only. However, you can record images (only) using the SD Card.

Check your manual for the max supported SD card size. Most likely it will either support a minimum of 2-4 gb :)

So yes you can get larger cards for your PV GS 50D

Try using a different tape or cd. It could be faulty media.

Couple of questions:
Did you record/dump using a battery that may have been low on power?
Are you using a fire wire or USB cord?

TRY A DRY TAPE CLEANER. A GOOD ONE DONT BE SKIMPY. OR YOU MIGHT NEED TO GET THIS CLEANED BY A PRO. SOUNDS LIKE YOUR HEAD IS DIRTY.

It's not a problem, it's designed that way. Its called Macrmedia Encryption. It's so you can't record commercial DVD's onto other media (anti-piracy). Since the game is DVD based, it will not be recordable.

ihave problem with my jvc camcorder,firstly the does not go in itself i have to hold the tape after awhile it sits in but when ipush any button to play rewind etc on screen it says that you needto reinsert &safeguuard is on when its no. will the head cleaner solve the problem or shall i take to repair it.please answer as quick possible thank you. you just need to replace optical pick up of the set. It must be costing abt rs 6500/-
