Question about Lexmark X83 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Turn off and unplug your printer from the wall for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on? If that doesn't work, remove the color ink and make sure the contacts on the cartridge are not smudged, reinsert the ink. If that didn't work re-install the old color cartridge and reboot the computer then try to change to the new color. Let me know what happens, Good Luck, Tim

I have a similar problem with my color ink cartridge(s). I use mainly the black ink for printing invoices, so I save the color for alignment or special documents. I've noticed about 3-4 weeks after I install any new color ink cartridge my ink level is low and won’t print but I use it 90% less than the black ink which seems to last forever. For years I just thought one color gets used more than the others and causes the whole thing to show as low. A couple weeks ago I purchased and replaced both cartridges and have full black but no color and I have yet to print anything in color except the initial alignment page when I first installed them. I just called tech support and they said to clean it because the ink may dry up at the ends. So I did and the color ink absorbs into the paper towel great, better than my black ink, but it still won’t work. I've turned off my computer and printer and unplugged it. I took out both the black and color ink and went through the whole install cartridge thing (so the printer would think they were new.) I noticed that the printer recognize the black ink ( asking if it's new) but not the color. I notice that if I buy a new color ink cartridge it fixes the problem...but I'm sick of spending $50 on yet another color ink cartridge when I have a full one sitting here already. HELP!!!
