I bought a new lcd monitor(22 inch - 2232BWPLUS). i have a compaq presario v6000 laptop. i installed the magictune software in it and when i started the laptop-i could see the monitor displaying windows sign and then the monitor pops out with a digital or analog signal box. is it resolution setting problem or a problem with my video card

It sounds like you have a bad MIC. The MIC is located behind the bezel at the top.

You graphics card is not supported. You can view the supported models from below.

Also if you want to try install again,
1) Uninstall the magictune software
2) Restart the computer, go into safe mode
3) Reinstall the Magictune software.

You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them.

Sounds like you need a new video cable installed

Try fn key, And LCD/TV Or LCD/VGA usually marked on 1 of The number ( Numerical ) Or F Keys.

Remember to switch back before closing down, Otherwise the laptop will try to look for the projector.

The other option is to see, which device is set to boot first from the systems Bios.

usually all drivers for Compaq and HP computer systems (portable and non-portable) can be found on the HP support website (Click here to go to it), simply go there, chose your region, than your country, enter your model number (not the series, the model number, you would usually find it on the service tag, or wherever you would find a serial number), but be sure to chose "Download drivers and software (and firmware)", and than chose your operating system. Hope this has helped.

sounds like your lcd screen is on it's last legs...time for a replacement..

This is not a do it yourself task, but check for loose connections.
