This MP3 player WILL NOT PLAY Video according to the website, see the information below: Supported formats are only MP3 or WMA which are both audio formats -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a few ideas (with so little info on your problem):
1-scroll up and down the menu with the left/right arrows, hit the M button to play whatever selection (music, video, ebook...) is showing.
2-REGULAR MAINTENANCE: when your Nextar is connected to the computer via USB, open My Computer, right click "Nextar", select 'properties'. Under 'tools', check for disk errors and defrag the Nextar - and Backup if you want.
THIS should help!
Mp3 player can not play video files . Because mp3 is an audio format . To play a video on a tiny device , you need to have another device called Mp4 player .
you really need to make sure your videos are in the right format .
Just get this tool to help you. 1. load your file to Video Sharer 2. choose AVI format 3. click" convert" button. Then you will get the right format. Here is the tool for you: http://www.asharer.com/download-video-sharer
The songs you are trying to load to the Mp3 player are not compatible with the Nextar - a good test for this would be to connect your Nextar to the PC, open Windows Media Player, and click the Library tab, then the Sync tab - if a little blue "i" appears next to the song, it will not work with your Nextar. In fact, any song that is not in mp3 format or unprotected WMA (very few WMA's are unprotected unless you Ripped them directly from CD) will not play in the Nextar.
This isn't a great solution. I used MTVVideoConverter to create an .mtv file. Like you, I couldn't get Windows Media Player to sync the file. However, I put the Nextar into MSC USB mode. Then I found the device corresponding to the Nextar -- which had directories name FMIN.DIR, MICIN.DIR, and MTPMEDIA. I connected to MTPMEDIA and there created a subdirectory called Video (I don't know if the name is important) and copied the .MTV file there. I was careful to "safely remove" the device and I was able to view my video.
click on the link below the MP3 player/Video Player line.
Nextar and NSpireGear both use the SigmaTel Chipset in there MP3/MP4 video music player and you will notice that they are the same video2smv.exe. What you will download is a zip file named video2smv.zip.
