Hi, We are using VOIP321 and have suddenly gotten an onscreen message (from the VOIP321 program) that "Access to Skype is Denied". Do you have any recommendation?

Call your office admin or tech that programs the system at your site to allow access.

go to properties(right click->Properties) of the voip321 program and set the compatibility mode to Windows XP.

The VOIP321 from Phillips does NOT connect to your wireless router. It requires to be plugged into a USB port on a WINDOWS ONLY desktop computer, which needs to be left on/logged-in with Skype running to send and receive calls. It wont work with Vista either.
Additionally Since Skype Version 3.8.0.188 (Release date: November 19, 2008) and all later versions (including Skype 4 Betas) the software Phillips supply no longer works with Skype and the VOIP321 phone. The latest VOIP321 <a href="http://tinyurl.com/6b2xrp" rel="nofollow">driver from their website</a> suffers the same issue, even though it states "The VOIP321 USB Phone Driver V 3.8.3 which can be downloaded from Philips web site is compatible with Skype software version from V2.0.0.x until V3.8.0.x". This is plainly no longer correct with the latest stable release of Skype, V3.8.0.188.
Skype developers are <a href="https://developer.skype.com/jira/browse/SPA-599" rel="nofollow">unable to do anything about it</a> and Phillips wont update their driver (Quote "... no more development/fixes are being incorporated into the VOIP321.EXE file"). Phillips would probably rather sell you a newer bit of hardware.
Don't waste your time on Phillips Skype phone devices, as their driver support is lacking when Skype is updated, so you buy a product for a few hundred dollars and it becomes useless 12 months later.
Another reason to not purchase the Phillips Skype phones is that it is Windows Only. No Mac or Linux support or drivers offered.

It took me a while to figure out but here is how I am able to dial out from skype to a hardline to a person not in my skype contact. Simply start to dial the number (not from the talk button!!!) then instead of hitting the talk button to dial, hit the skype button on the bottom left hand side. I also have to dial 001 then the phone number. Hope this works for you too. good luck.

Try this option....

mysql -u root -p

mysql will then ask you for the password give the proper password.

For changing mysql root password

mysqladmin -u root -p password <<newpwd>>

then mysql ask you to give password this is the old password and now the new password for the root will be newankush.

Just got the phone myself. I can only offer the same advice I would give to any other usb related problem.

first, put the usb device in another usb port.
Then uninstall the software, then reboot and reinstall.
You sound like you know what you are doing so I am guessing you have already tried this. God luck with your search for the answer.

Using Skype 3.8.0.180

Go to Menu-Tools-Options-Advanced and give your voip321 access to skype application.

I had the same problem, solved when I allowed the skype phone to access skype.

Click download for the Vista Drivers. Download the driver to your desktop open the file to install the drivers. Reboot the computer

Plug the VoIP321 back into the computer.
Then on Skype go to Tools then Options.
Click on Advance and manage other programs access to Skype choose allow for the voip321.

Remove the batteries from the handset for at least 1/2 minute and reinstall them bach. This should work The contacts will show up again on tehe handset.
