I am looking for a minolta 2430DL service manual. The printer came with some books that really contain no information, but in many languages. Als the service manual for Minolta 2550 would be welcome. All I can find is the useless user the manuals that I already have.

Is anyone else having problems getting Konica to stand behind its products.

Open the top cover. Remove the drum (part with long green handle). Below the drum you will see a strip of glass about 4-5 inches long. Take a cloth and wipe across the glass.
This will normally clear up any white lines in your print.

Error 08 relates to the main motor having problems turning. Quite often this is caused by a faulty consumable (opc,toner or transfer belt). Could also be that the lid is not closing properly and stopping the toner carousel turning freely.

The solution for this issue has to do with the paper used. I experienced the same issue and traded out the bargain paper for quality Xerox paper. The bargain paper is just too thin and is causing the sensors inside to misread and miss-feed into the various rollers and devices inside the printer. If you can afford a color laser then I guess they figure you can afford the premium paper. The Xerox paper I'm using is 24lb found at BJ's wholesale here in the South East US, though other quality papers will work as well.
