My dell computer gives a blue screen asking for admin password

When I turn on the computer, I get a blue screen asking to put in an administrator password. I don't know this password and it won't let me go past this screen.

SOURCE: the administrative password is different in the bios settings

You can reset the password easily by removing the battery which will clear the CMOS. If you aren't comfortable doing this, perhaps you can find someone who will do it for you. It's not hard to do, and you won't hurt anything as long as you unplug the computer and discharge any static from your body. (Just touch something metal - like the rails on your desk or something else.)

SOURCE: Dell XPS M1210 Administrator password and password log on problem

This is a known vista issue where it creates a backup of your profile for some reason there registry edits to try and fix it but a system restore is much easier. Follow the below steps to solve problem.

Turned computer on and immediately pressed F8 repeatedly until I got "Advanced Boot Options" select "Safe Mode" computer then opens safe mode login as admin if possible, with a "Help" window, in the help window there is an underlined "What is System Restore?" then select "Click to open System Restore" restore to a previous state before which the fault occurred.
Click OK and after config changes should be good to go.

SOURCE: dell latitude d820 can't get intothe bios set up screen

The BIOS password is stored in CMOS memory which is attached to the motherboard. If you remove this battery, all CMOS information (including the BIOS password) will be lost. You will need to re-enter the correct CMOS setup information to use the machine.

Hope you find this information usefull.
your feedback is appreciated.

SOURCE: dell inspiron 5150 laptop, reset admin. password.

Restart your laptop and keep tapping F8 key the moment you see something on the screen. You will get a black screen with some options written in white. Select the option Safe mode and then you can create a new user with admin rights. Or else at the windows login screen press and hold ctrl and alt key and tap delete key twice and then it will take you to a login screen. Dont put any password there just hit enter. And you will be able to login with admin rights.

Thanks
Deepak

Free administrator pasword Dell Latitude D-610

try Admin or Administrator Or it may be blank, just try to hit enter w/o entering anything at all. Good luck. Or when it boots up F8 and run it in Safe Mode. Many ppl never put a password for Admin. I've gotten into many computers that way.

Dell inspiron8100 administrator password

Is this a Black screen?
If it is that is asking for a BIOS password. Is this your laptop? The person that put this password in this laptop is the only person that knows that answer. That is a security question that you will have to take up with the person that done it. You can also contact Dell and give them the serial number and see what they say. Make sure you give them your name and address when you call them. They will need to know this.

Reset Admin Password on used computer.

Ok, what I am going to do is show you how to bypass or (hack) a password protected windows xp computer. first, restart your computer>press F8 before it boots up, a menu will come up>select safe mode>restart in safe mode>the admin account comes up> click on it and click yes when the small menu comes up> the computer should boot to the desktop now>select start>control panel>select user accounts>select change account and follow the prompts to creating a new account (make sure that the administrator radio button is selected) put in your new password, etc> restart your computer. You should now have administrator privileges on that system. Let me know if you have any further problems. :-)
