Wont start When I push the start button, the washing light starts to flash, but the dishwashing cycle won't start.

You will have to reset the dishwasher. First try and turn off the mains power and back on after a short time. If the clean light flashing starts again then you go through the hard reset procedure.

press NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY buttons one after the other until all the lights on the board lit up (3X's). The dishwasher will enter into a cycle; Press Cancel. This should stop the flashing.
If you are supplying dishwasher from hot water inlet then make sure the inlet water temperature stays within the recommended range of 145 deg F.

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.

The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

Either the hose is clogged at the entry point to the dishwasher or the solenoid vlave is bad...

It is in a delay wash mode.
Disconnect power for 60 seconds.
Re-connect power.
Press the Cancel button.
Press the regular wash cycle and start the dw.

Check whether the door is getting closed fully. Try pushing little hard. If the door close switch problem it may work.

Contact service for help if u can not proceed further with electrical circuits. Micro-controller board to be checked!

SHU 53 MODELS To start test program, press and hold both SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. Initially, control module version # will be displayed (e.g./ ?21? = version 1 with jumper). When wash program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button. To check each program indicator light, press its button. To check Cycle Countdown display, Refill Rinse Agent light and REGULAR WASH light, press REGULAR WASH button (press Delay Start button to test Cycle Countdown display alone). Cycle Countdown display will show ?88″ when REGULAR WASH button is pressed and ?8h? when Delay Start button is pressed. To start testing, press both the SCRUB WASH and DELICATE/ECONO buttons a second time. When testing has ended, Cycle Countdown display will show a fault using codes below. Using a meter with a current coil, measure current going into dishwasher. If current is ~ 11 A, then heater, high limit and flow switch are OK. If current stays at ~ 1.5-2 A, then heater, high limit or flow switch are faulty. If water level switch (f1) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?4″ and unit will continually fill and drain where testing won?t be completed. If flow switch (e5) has failed (opened), display will show ?0″, water won?t heat (to 150?F) and water won?t stop circulating. If NTC probe (f2/f4) has failed (opened), display will show fault code ?8″ immediately and testing will end shortly after water has started circulating.

seems your flow switch is faulty

I think if you push the heated wash and heated dry button several times until all the buttoms light up this will fix your problem.

 A clean light that flashed repeatedly 7 times then off. Reset as above with the heated wash and heated dry buttons. You may then noticed a reduced flow from the pump so dissasemble the lower arm and water inlet assy.You may find it mostly plugged with foregin matter and some othe junk. Upon removal of that stuff and reassembly,It may work as new!

I don't know if your dishwasher is the same as mine, but this solution may be what you need. For electronic panel dishwashers made by whirlpool (mine is a whirlpool but with a kenmore name on it), some of them can be reset by pushing in sequence the Heated-Dry button followed by the Normal-Wash button, several times in a row. that is... Push Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash, Then Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash... Repeat until all lights light up. When all lights light up you can stop. The washer will then take 5-10 minutes to go through a diagnostics cycle, which is about 18-25 steps or so. You can bypass one step at a time by pushing the STart button. This may not apply to your washer, but is pure gold if it does. Good Luck!

My dishwasher Model is 665 15891790 and the serie #FG3907905. After programing my dishwasher and pressing the start button, it fills with water, but when it is due to start the sensing light comes on. I have notice that the ring under the watering arm on the bottom of the machine seams to be cracked. Could that be the problem for the machine not starting its' cycle. Thank you.
