Texting I can't seem to send or receive text messages from people. I can receive the minutes used messages, but I've never received any others even though people have told me they've sent them. Is there a certain place I need to go to activate this feature? Thanks!

Here's what you do. on your Iphone, go to settings then go to imessages and turn off imessages. after turning it off, put your sim back to your samsung. You will now get your messages. Hope it helps.
If it used to send/receive text messages and no longer does I recommend shutting off the phone, taking out the battery for a minute or two, then reinstall the battery and try again. I'm assuming your phone plan allows you to text, yes?
Try sending a text to your phone and see if you can receive the message that you just sent and not just a blank message. Are you using some characters or emoticons? It probably is not readable on the recipient's phone. For example, on the iPhone, one can send a message with Emoji but the other models will not be able to view it and instead just receive a blank message.

I have the same problem....my text messages never seem to reach the person I text, who has T-Mobile. I have the correct phone number and the correct center address, but we still can't figure out why 75% of our texts never reach each other's phones. This doesn't seem to be a problem with other people I text. Perhaps it's an AT&T to T-Mobile problem?
On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
