There is no power on the player, unable to power up. Occasionally, it might power up for a second then the red light disappears.

Also check the Power supply unit inside. It would be good to take it to a Philips Home care.

No rear sound in philips home cinema

Sometimes the rear sound or other speakers can accidentally get switched off, when changing sound modes. Check that this has not happened. Most amps have test modes that send out beeps or some other form of noise to the speakers. Try that and see if they are working.
If you can't find anything that has switched them off and there are no beeps on the channel. It could be that the amp that controls the rear channels has failed.

I want to connect my Philips HTS3357 Home Cinema System to my Panasonic PT-AE900E LCD Projector, How do I go about putting it altogether so it works with my xbox360/PS3

Generally speaking, if your Home Cinema system is able to pass-thru video as well as audio, you'll want to take the HDMI cable from the XBOX video out, into the Home Cinema system's input (any HDMI input should be fine), and then run the HDMI video out to your projector. Any other devices you want to be able to project as well (DVD/BluRay, PC, Cable, Satellite, etc.) would also be plugged into the Home Cinema system as "in" devices, like the XBOX.

When you want to display one of those devices, you would select that "in" port's input name in the Home Cinema system (for example, if the XBOX is connected to the HDMI in that is labeled "aux", you will switch the cinema system to Aux Input, and the projector should immediately begin getting the signal from the theatre system. To switch to another device, you simply change the Input channel on the Home Cinema.

The audio also, providing the device (the XBOX) can carry it on the HDMI cable, will also be delivered to the Home Cinema. Some devices cannot carry sound on HDMI (though many can). For those, you will need to run an HDMI cable for the video, and also an optical cable or other type of audio-only cable, for its audio. You do not need to run an audio cable to the projector though, as the projector is only for video. The Home Cinema will take care of the sound itself.

Philips home cinema dvd wont eject

If you bought it with a credit card you should have up to 90 days to return it. You will void the warranty if you try my solution. look on the back and sides. There should be some small screws. Take them out and then slide the back off of the player. You should be able to see the disk tray. Some systems have a manual eject button hidden somewhere inside. Once it is open you should be able to find the model number of the dvd drive. Look up the specs and see if you can find the button. Otherwise you can try to force it open. Be extremely careful if you do this. You could strip the gears and or break it. If the gears are exposed use a small flat head screw driver and slowly turn the gears till it opens. I hope this helps.

Hi all, I have a Philips Lx 3600 Dvd HTS and the DVD is not working. I would like to replace it, but it is also the builtin amplifier for the 5.1 system. Is it possible to buy another DVD/amplifier that is...

I have the same issue but it looks like buy a cheap philips DVD 5.1 with the EASY CONNECTORS and link to your existing speaker set. The new speakers can act as a fall back to your existing set.

I have the same problem. However you can't abandon the system since the player has an inbuilt 5.1 channel amplifier. I have been told by someone that I can use another DVD player and connect AV chord to LX3600 D which will be used as amplifier only.

Lx 9000r wont play any dvds even previously played

You can try reseting the unit.
Reset the set to the default factory settings:
All the information stored
(programmes, time and date) will be lost.
1.
Disconnect the set from power supply.
2. Press and hold down "STANDBY•ON" on the set and reconnect the set.
3. As soon as "IS TV ON?" is displayed, release "STANDBY•ON."

Hopefully reseting it will clear whatever problem it is having and allow you to once again use your DVD player.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

37pf7531 tv

If you have a later Philips home cinema model: HTS3100, 3300, 3500, 3154, 3357, 6510 & others, the sound from the TV will go through the existing scart connection.

Just select TV on the home cinema remote control.

For any other models, use a scart - twin phono lead (red & white), from the TV to one of the inputs into the home cinema.

Scarts 1 & 2 on the TV will have different results. Try both.
