How do I download mcafee free download

Tom, don't know what's goin' on bro, so fill me in.

Looked at your account, and through the 5 problems you have stated now;

1) McAfee technical support is not working properly

Tim, I would kick McAfee to the curb. Same as I would Norton.
Both are a piece of junk.

To back up my statement, just look through the internet.
I'm stating from my own experience, Experience of being on here, and another website (8 yrs), my personal experience, AND the internet postings.

The good stuff you hear/read is PR based, or those who really don't have a clue.
(I've even had a Norton rep who agreed once, lol!)

Use Malwarebytes, and AVG. Use the free version of Malwarebytes from CNET. Also free version of AVG.
Also suggest you use CCleaner, a free registry cleaner, and I can guide you in downloading, installing, and using.

What is in poor shape on it, or what were the actual statements to you?

Go to download.com and scroll down until you see the most popular downloads list on the right of your screen.

Click on AVG free and then hit download. After that just click run or open and install the antivirus with default settings by following instructions.

You have purchased a licence, the physical cd is incidental. Contact mcafee you can probably download the software for free. Also write a letter of complaint to Harvey Norman

1. Use another virus checker before trying to load McAfee.
You can download one free from http:/www.free-av.com
2. You can replace the McAfee package by sending it back to the supplier as faulty.

Delete McAfee in control panel and download / re-install from www.comcast.net. It's free for subscribers

Multiple anti-virus programs on a computer conflict with each other, as well as installation may fail when trying to install one Anti-virus program when another one is still on the computer.

Download Avast
Disable your internet connection, or unplug the ethernet cable
Uninstall McAfee
Install Avast
Hook your internet back up
Use your reg key and update Avast.

You just don't want an unsecured computer with an active internet connection even during the short period of time between uninstalling the old one and installing the new one

you better be getting that for free.. other wise you may be wasting your money.. mcafee is not one the best antivirus known out there.

keep in mind that downloading the antivirus is not the same as installing the antivirus and getting it to run.. so look for the installation package you download and look for a file that's called setup.exe and run it to actually install the antivirus. once install, configure automatic updates for your antivirus and you should see the macfee icon on the system tray (bottom rigth area where the clock is).
