CAUTION The air bag system must be disarmed before performing service around air bag components or wiring. Failure to do so may cause accidental deployment of the air bag, resulting in unnecessary repairs and/or personal injury.

  1. Position the vehicle with the front wheels in a straight ahead position.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable.
  4. Wait at least one minute for the air bag back-up power supply to drain before continuing.
    1. Remove the air bag module retaining bolts. Detach the electrical connector and remove the module.
    2. Attach air bag simulator tool 105-00010 or equivalent, to the vehicle harness connector.

  5. Connect the positive, then the negative battery cables.

SOURCE: crown victoria window motor replacement

remove the door panel. be very careful and make sure you get all the screws out. Should be maybe 2 on the bottom half of the door, and 2 on the top half. one is right by the handle, which is the one i forgot the first time i took my door pannel off. carefully pull the panel upward, and outward at the same time. Once the panel is off, disconnect the controls, and remove the light from the panel. Remove the plastic cover very carefully, it will tear, just keeps noise, and air, and the elements out.
There will be 3 screws, they are torx bolts, once you pull those 3 out. They are located middle of the door towards the right side. The motor will drop down a little bit. disconnect the wires for the motor, and wiggle the motor off of the regulator. the crown vics have a decent size hole to get into the door panel, you can also remove the speaker if that would help you do it. other than that, it just lining up the new motor into the car, pushing it into the regulator, and putting the 3 bolts in, make sure they are snug, and not cross threaded. put everything back together, and your set.

SOURCE: i want to recharge the air conditioner on a 1992 crown vic

find your evaporator inlet outlet lines on the fire wall usually near heater core inlet outlet lines. then follow both lines until you find the one that goes to the compressor. that is your low side and the port should be on there

Where is locate the air bag compressor for ford crown victoria

Hi:
There is not a compressor for the air bags. They are a self contained unit that inflates in less than half a second if you are involved in an accident. Once they are activated, they must be replaced.

Where Can I Download A Free Wiring Diagram For A 1996 Crown Victoria? My turn signals and alert signals do not work.

Check autozone.com, but I would suggest that if your fuses are good both in the fuse box and under the hood then your multifunction switch is bad. It is behind the steering wheel and is not too difficult of a job but causes these symptoms when it fails. You will have to remove the air bag and rent a steering wheel puller but it is a pretty straightforward job. Be very careful with the air bag.

How does one reconnect the air suspension

You probably have a leak in the system. Did "they" check the lines and air suspension? "They" probably disconnected the compressor to keep it from burning out from overuse. You need to fix the leak before reconnecting or the compressor will wear out very quickly.

Air bag light on dash board citroen picasso

Check the plugs and sockets under the seats, they tell the airbag system if there are occupants and if the readings are wrong to the airbag ecu it disables itself and lights the warning lamp, clean the plugs and sockets or sometimes I have soldered the wires to get decent contact (one at a time)
