HP has a fix for the Internet Explorer 7 issue on it's download page. You can also install the full feature software for a newer model, I used the OfficeJet L7780 and I now have additional features plus it works in VISTA. Just be sure to select "WIRED/WIRELESS" when asked how to connect and select "CONNECT LATER" when prompted that the printer could not be found. Works great.

pritner is dead , you can try a reset by the steps below.

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on and wait for 20 seconds.

2. Then, press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays Semi Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.

If it does not work then , you have to go for a new printer.

I guess you are having problems with the yahoo messenger due to the fact that your messenger could be corrupt. For you to solve this problem please uninstall the current yahoo messenger that you have running on your computer and download version 10.0 from

After the installation i bet you would be able to sign in again and on a better platform.

My printer will no longer scan since I hooked it up to new computer. Help, I have a 5510 All in one HP

I recently found that my 5510 would not scan text into the OCR. I found out that the program the 5510 uses to scan text, HP Director has an issue with Internet Explorer 7.0. If you go to the HP web site and do a search for HP Director, you will be directed to several options for fixing this problem. The option that worked for me was to download their fix.

Hp CUE Status Root has stopped working ERROR

You should try using Windows Restore. Restore the computer back to when it worked correctly. Then try downloading the latest software for your scanner, etc. from the appropriate websites. i.e. support.hp.com

That's probably the easiest way to do it.

1.) No Scan Options is coming up when I press scan

2.) Will not print from the computer.

3.) Copy is working on the HP

4.) Fax is working on the HP

Changing cartridges

for the 5510, the manual says to turn the machine on, then lift the catridge cover piece, which is the flap under the hp symbol on the scanner/copy part...it's the flap that hangs down just above where your print copies come out...it takes a little tugging, but it comes up and then you can see your cartidges...after that, push down on the cartridge and pull it out..
