Will not spin and then when I try to start the cycle over all it will do is aggitate. It is also overfilling and spilling onto the floor. It is a top loading GE washer and is just over a year old.

I have the same problem. I poped the front off and saw the "tebe" that's described but it seems hooked up OK at the top. To be honest, I'm not clear how that "tube" setup actually works. There's a hole in the bottom of it so I presume no water actually goes in there, so how does this sense the water level in the tub itself? Also, dod you finally fix your machine and what was the actual cause in the end?

Sounds like the water level switch is not working pop the front cover off and see if the tube on the left of the tub is still hooked up. to remove front cover use a putty knife and slide between thee top and the front cover you wil feel the knife stop about two inces from each side push in on the place where it stopped and pull out on the front cover

Whirlpool wtw5100sq0 clunks when put on spin cycle

Does the washer currently work fine aside from the loud clunking noise? Does the clunking noise continue or is it just one loud clunk when it starts to spin? If its just one loud clunk then that is not a problem just ignore it as that is the clutch spring releasing, it probably starting making noise from the grease getting washed off when the washer over filled.
However how did the washer overfill? That issue should be addressed too. Sometimes though, if the tub is not centered from a heavy load the water will spill over the back but its not really an overfill.

My whirlpool Estate washer is not draining or spinning but aggitates, what can be the problem?

Sounds like a cycle switch problem. The switch is not turning and making contact with the next cycle. It needs to be changed!

Today, dishwasher started overfilling, and spilling water onto the floor. We turned off the water supply and let the dishwasher finish its cycle, turned on the water, started another cycle and it began to...

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the dishwasher is overfilling it’s caused because of water-inlet valve going bad. This valve is usually at the bottom left or right of the dishwasher, behind the lower access panel. It's the device with the main water line from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it. If the water-inlet valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I have a MAYTAG washer that was having trouble in the spin cycle it would drain but would spin slower like the brake was coming on. Now it rinses and spins fine but during the wash cycle it fills then once...

More than likely it has a broken wire underneath that controls the spin. and agitation. I had an old Kenmore that the wire that controls these functions would break about every 6 months.

Washing machine will spin on the spin cycle

aggitator? Does it sound like it is? I would put a flat head in the door switch in activiate the cycle "as if it is running" put some weight on the aggitator, see if you can feel it moving while your weight is on it.

Washine mashine aggitator

Rob, sounds like you need an agitator repair kit. Not a hard job, under the dispenser cap you have a set of ears, spring and plastic bearing. The kit is cheap, you can find it here http://www.repairclinic.com/0080.asp Catriver...post back
