Re: slotomania will not open - error 404 nginx/1.0.8
A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server.
Technically, an Error 404 is a client-side error, implying that the error is your mistake, either because you typed the URL in wrong or the page has been moved or removed from the website and you should have known.
No matter the reason for the 404 error, there is plenty you can do to try to get to that page you were after:
How To Fix the 404 Not Found Error
Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. The 404 Not Found error has been known to appear on occasion even if there is no real issue so a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for.
Check for errors in the URL. Often times the 404 Not Found error appears because the URL was typed wrong or the link that was clicked on points to the wrong URL.
Move up one directory level at a time in the URL until you find something. For example, if www.w.com/a/b/c.htm gave you the 404 Not Found error, move up to www.w.com/a/b/. If you get nothing here, move up to www.w.com/a/. This should lead you toward what you're looking for or at least confirm that it's no longer available.

Hi, not sure about this app, but if it is web based, I will assume it runs on Safari. Have you enabled popups in Safari? Also, I would try with another browser like Chrome or Firefox. Make sure you are not running any 3 rd party popup blockers!
For future reference, it help us to know a bit more about your Mac, like what OS X is running and Safari version, if it is updated, etc.
Alex Safari 6 OS Mountain Lion Block pop ups and unnecessary content
well if u don't have safari on it already then I don't know what to tell u but a good option is to find the apple company closest to you and find their number and call them and ask them or schedule an appointment and go up there to the apple company and take you apple MacBook air with you and show them what you are having a problem is with it on safari that's all I can think of now but if I think of something I will tell you..
You can download Latest Version of Safari for MAC from the internet and install/upgrade it. Here is the Safari Download Link Select the Safari for MAC Version Good Luck! Hope this helps! Dont forget to appreciate the solution!! CreativeTECH
are you trying to launch from dock if so, single click and hold the safarfi icon and drag it off the dock (that should remove it from the dock)
then go to your applications folder find the safari icon and drag it to the dock
the new safari icon should work
The latest Safari 4.0.3 requires MacOS 10.5.7 or 10.5.8.
Which versions are you using?
In fact, all Safari 4 versions including betas require at least 10.5.6.
Otherwise IIRC the latest was 3.2.3 of Safari.
It should have said that it was not compatible but you may want to go to VersionTracker.com or Apple and check the requirements.
Also run Disk Utility and Verify the disk and Fix the permissions before and after every install. If the Verify gives errors, you will need to boot from your CD/DVD (SOL on MacBook Air, hope you have an external boot disk or drive) and Repair the disk before working on permissions. There are some "errors" shown for permissions that can be ignored, they have used links (lrw...) where it expects none.
Boot your system from Install disk 1, and run disk utilities from the menu. run 'Check disk' until there are no more errors and then run 'check file permissions' until no more errors. Then reboot and try SAfari and SKype again. Hope his helps
I dont believe there is a way directly in safari. I would try to download firefox for free and try that. I have a new Macbook Pro and an older MacBook and they are both running firefox. Its more stable and has a lot of features that safari does not.
