SOURCE: ge monogram bottom freezer ice maker spills ice

It takes weeks for ice to dissipate in a freezer.
You may can adjust your cut off lights or wire cut off to cut off before it's so full.

SOURCE: ice maker makes too much ice

In my Kitchen Aid bottom freezer there is a metal arm(?) that I lift up to stop the ice maker from making ice. When I start running low on ice, I push the metal arm(?) back down for it to make ice again. Hope this is the solution for your Kitchen Aid too.

Ice maker is not making ice. what could be the problem?

The two most common things that happen: the ice piles up too high, which pushes up the bar that tells it the bin is full and stop making ice. OR the ice sticks to the ice cube maker. If the ice pile is too high, knock it down or empty the bin. If the ice is sticking to the cube maker, try melting it and then spraying it with a non stick spray. Sometimes the water supply line is clogged, but that is not usually the problem.

Frigidaire bottom freezer spills ice when opened and I can't shut the drawer til I fish the ice cubes out.

You might be well served with a general defrost of the unit. But before you do, make sure that the mounting screws on the ice maker are fully in. Then if so, warm the lower surface of the ice maker where cubes are ejected with a hair dryer for a minute or two (medium not high). It could be that extraneous ice is catching the cubes. What does it feel like to the hand?

How can I stop automatic ice maker from continually making ice?

There should be a metal wire that hangs over the drawer. When the drawer is full, the wire flips up and shuts off the ice maker. You have to manually lower the wire back down to restart the ice maker. It sounds like yours is hung up, missing or broken. Have you checked this?

Ice falls to bottom of frig when drawer is opened

If when your ice bin is pulled out it drags ice cubes from top of bin as I understand I would think that the sensor that tells the ice maker is not responding correctly. As I remember your model a PSS26MSRSS Profile/Artica has electronic Ice Makers that I hate and I think most people will agree that anything on a refrigerator electronic is a big mistake. All refrigerators have their problems but the electronic controlled models have so many complaints! Now I also noticed you did not confirm your model number so I need to ask is your model the PSS26MSRSS Profile? This is a lot of writing if I happen to be quoting a different model than yours, Thanks Sea Breeze

Ice maker is making hollow ice cubes, some only half frozen

Most ice makers have an adjustment screw to control the cube size. Its usually hidden behind a plastic panel on the front of the ice maker. A quarter turn either way and some trial and error testing should get you pointed in the right direction to your ideal ice cube.
