Too dark or too right pictures

Hi, when taking indoor or night pictures in my Sony dsc-w70 cyber shot, the pictures are sometimes ok, sometimes too dark and sometimes too bright (dazzled) with no change to setup, parameters or anything. is it because of the flash unit? thanks Yaron

DSC-W70 Picture is yellow and blurred

Hi dbyinva

I have not yet heard of yellow pictures on the DSC-W70 and I know this camera very well.

It might be that you have a white-balance impurity problem causing the yellow glow?

Try to reset the software back to factory settings:

1. Put the camera selection knob to the `green` camera.
Now press the `menu` button.
Use the right arrow to move all the way to the little toolbox picture.
Once in the setup menu, use the arrow pointing down to move to the little toolbox with a `1`
Now press the right arrow again and then the right arrow when you have highlighted `Initialize`
Now press the `middle` button on the arrow control keys.
Camera wants to know are you sure - select OK again.
You will now have to input the date and time again.

Check to see if the photos come out correctly now.

If not.... it might be a faulty CCD unit and you will have to contact Sony for service information

Good luck

Dark screen

Hi

Your camera has a bad CCD, and I think Sony might still be fixing them for free under recall. Here is the info you need:

No service forms or mailing addresses are provided on the Sony US site. Rather, owners are instructed to contact the Sony Customer Information Services Center for further assistance at 1-866-703-7669.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

Indoor photos are too dark and skin tones orange-ish

I have the same problem at my church with the indoor lighting on my camera. I'm able to get it work by putting the whole thing on manual and adjusting the lighting settings that way.
