When I look through the viewfinder I can see a black strip down the right hand edge of the picture. This is also reproduced on the saved image. This only happened after 2 or 3 shots of the group of pictures I was taking and I can't get rid of it. Any advice?

Re: Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom - Black strip down picture
If you see the black line on your images and it is a very crisp clear line then it is an issue with the cameras image sensor. If the line is less crisp and clear then it may be a more simple of contamination in/on the lens.
If the line is crisp and clear and the camera is under warranty get it fixed or replaced. If it is out of warranty look into getting the CCD component replaced at a repair facility. There is an outside chance that it is just the connector which bridges the sensor to the processing board - but that usually manifests all over the image, not just in 1 strip.

Since you can see it when taking new pictures but not on old photos then that suggests that the part of the image sensor is faulty. I think this would make it a camera repair shop job as the S602's can't be taken to bits easily.
