Hello accidentally pushed something on my camera and now it only wants to take pics when it feels like it. And also there is now a "L" on the right side of the LCD screen.
Second Even when I have the flash on It will not take pics. They come out black. What is the point t of the flash then?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: I have 2 questions about my izone 550
Here is the link to the user guide if you need it;
page 15 describes the reset function. try that first. then page 32 describes how to reset to default settings, try that although it may be already done by the reset.
Adjust the exposure compensation to a positive value if the image is too dark. page 34, procedure described on page 42
The flash range is only 1-1.5 metres. page 36
Try without a memory card, with another memory card, or with one if you dont use one now -corrupt pictures could be caused by this, but it's a long shot. Try formatting the card (page 25)
I had no luck with finding a cause for the "L", maybe you have more luck, or that a reset cures it.
Hope this helps, if not go to page 84 for polaroid customer serice.
ps sorry for the delay answering, there are many more problems than experts, hopefully this will change in the next couple of weeks

izone 550W has 16MB own internal memory. In addition it takes SD-cards. I'd say since it's quite a new model it'll handle at least 8GB card which is more than adequate (over 2000 frames on highest resolution)
You should have a patch wire cord that connects your camera to to a usb port on you PC. plug it in turn on the camera to view your pics and your PC should have a box pop up asking you how you want to deal with this connection, transfer- pics to PC pics or something like download pic to a folder ...best to use is My Pictures folder on your PC. when you get them they will be big so you will have to compress them from Mbs to Kbs. if you want to send them in an E-mail. and conserve space on your hard drive.
I took my izone 300 apart and replaced the battery with one purchased from Digiplant on Ebay for $9.98, shipping included. The battery is a Lithium Polymer 3.7 volt, 280 Mah, but I used a 3.7 volt, 550 Mah. It improves the battery life immensly and the flash never fails like it did on occasion when it was new. Hope this helps everyone looking for a replacement battery.
I would suggest the format option in the menu. i posted the manual it gives step by step getting to the format option. if it works on one but not the other even after formatting in problematic camera. I would suggest getting a different brand/size. There's a 1gig liimit, but i am currently using a panasonic 2 gig and it seems to be working at its stated size. Although i haven't filled it to see if any problems occurr.
Hope this helps.
Use the right arrow button on the arrow pad. There is a little pic of a lighting bold beside a pic of a camera on the top left hand corner. Push the right arrow button and look at that lightning bolt you will see it changing. There are three different ones. One has a ling through it and that means no flash on had an "A" on it that stands for automatic and then you will see just a pic of the bolt without anything. Not to sure what means either. Hope this helps.
