Sony FD Trinition WEGA KV-32fs120 32" (no picture)

I had watched the TV the night before. The next morning i turn the it on and there was no picture, but the sound worked fine.The standby light also blinks everytime I turn the TV on.I've tried the remote, cable, and turned the power off from the main switch but still no pictures. Please Help. I'm desperate.

If the standby light is blinking 5 times then repeating, it is likely a problem in your picture tube or related circuitry. Other possibilities include the "Jungle" IC which takes care of the video, chroma and deflection processes and is a bear to replace. Either way, it could be an expensive repair.

Picture was fine no problem..next day turned on set & nothing..but little red light on bottom right lit up..said need to call for service. The picture has always been great still was the night...

Most likely a CRT Issue, or Dead Backlight; tlking to a local service man should get it up and running again for fairly cheep

Ya, I think your Tv has weak CRT problem. or the FBT need replacement. You consult the tech. of sony service center.

Sony Wega Triniton KV-32FS100 TV

For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.

I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

Most probably the IC504 (Sharp PQ05RD21) on A-Board went bad. This model TV, including mine, is notorious for having this problem. The IC is rather easy to find and inexpensive (around $2.50). Your main problem will be desoldering the old one and soldering the new one.
