JVC AV56P776 Projection TV Green Light Flashes Won't turn On

We had a nearby bold of lightening. It blew a fuse in our main house panel. This is the circuit or TV is one. When we plug it in and then push the on button. The green light comes on. After a few seconds it starts to slowly flash. If we push it again, it wont turn off. We tried holding down all 4 volume and channel buttons but this didn't do anything. Does anyone know what this means? Is there a fix? Does this TV have a fuse inside of it?

SOURCE: Push Power button, green light goes on for a few seconds then nothing....

I would suggest taking a look at the power module if that can be replaced. The Fuse blowing may have only been the beginning of the problem. Any recent issues with under or over voltage in your home?

OK so my jvc av56wp74 will turn on with a green pic then turns off and the blue light in front blinks

it sounds like u need a new lamp with housing if that dont work than its your main board on the inside of tv. but i would try the lamp first

A possible bad lamp if not replaced recently or removed and at least examined. What is model number and what have you tried so far?

Hi,
If the led light flashes green continuously, the fault came from the DM power supply. The faulty parts there are the electrolytic capacitors. Let me know if your handy with electronics and I will assist you to fix it yourself.

Lightening struck nearby and the tv went out. Now

Obviously the tv took the hit but the dvd player was spared. check and replace the fuse in the tv if it's open. If this does not fix it then get an est and file a claim with you homeowners insurance.

Green indicator light flicks about 3-5 times

The power supply has likely detected a short circuit. Hold the front panel INPUT and MENU buttons down for 5 seconds then read the code from the green light. If the light flashes a 2-2 code (2 flashes, followed by a 1/2 second pause, followed by 2 flashes) then pico fuses are blown. A 1-2 code indicates that nothing is wrong. The likely cause for blown pico fuses (FA904 & FA905) is a bad convergence driver IC. The PC board must be resoldered to replace the ICs and fuses.
