Question about JVC Cybercam GR-D72 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
My GR-D72 does not render the scene properly on the LCD monitor or the Viewfinder. All I see is a horizontally split screen with vertical colored lines that will change if I pan. You just can't make out the picture. The picture that is recorded on the tape is just like that seen on the LCD. When I play back a good tape, the picture and sound are normal. This sissue happened suddunly upon powering on after a couple week since the last time used. What could be the issue and how could it be fixed? Thanks for any good information. Elakkis
Elakkis, I am sorry you are having a problem with your JVC camcorder. Your camera more than likely has a defective CCD imager which is being replaced by JVC factory service at no charge because of a problem with the Sony CCD chip being used. Call JVC and arrange to send the camera to them. Hope this helps you! Joe Weibel Custom Electronics (customelectronics.org)

The image will not appear simultaneously on the LCD
monitor and the viewfinder. It will appear in the
viewfinder when the LCD monitor is in the lock position,
and it will appear on the LCD monitor when fully
extended.
