Beltronics is now using a special "high temperature" speaker which resolves issues with speakers blowing due to high ambient temperatures. Contact Beltronics and schedule service for your V940. Not only will Bel replace the speaker with the newer model, but they will also test and calibrate your V940 and install whatever the current firmware is for your V940.
This means that your RD has failed several attempts to self-calibrate its internal antenna. Like the message says, you must send in your V995 for service. Bel will fix whatever the issue is, and they will install the latest firmware too. Also, be sure to ask Bel to check and see if they need to replace the existing speaker with their new "high temp" speaker. The new speaker resolves potential issues of the original speaker failing due to high heat conditions.
If its still under warrenty Call Beltronics 800-341-2288 I had the same problem and they re-tuned the Detector and updated the firmware my Vector 985 was out of warrenty by 5 months and Bel repaired it for free. Hope this helps
