We're having intermittent trouble with the dvd tray on the unit. Almost every time a dvd is put in the tray it immediately spits it out and then the tray goes right back inside and sometimes continues endlessly if not stopped. At times we're able to press play and it will begin to play. This seems to be only by luck, but we'd like some reliability. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you,

Go here for all information regarding the RCA BD20TF10 remote. You will need to download the original manual for the RCA BD20TF10 TV/DVD/VCR combo, and in the manual, it will tell you all codes and how to program the remote. Note: this remote does not program to any other TVs, only work RCA TVs.
Ok, this seems to be a common problem amongst us techno-phobic couch potatos ( just kidding), sounds like tv input is not selected on right channel input. make sure pins on s-video are not bent or missing, if they are, you need a new s-video cable, try connection through the red/white/yellow cables, make sure that you have correct input selected on tv set ( example: S-video, component1 , aux 1,HDMI1, and so on.) put dvd in player and keep going till you get the right one. in ,my experience, the R/W/Y cable is component1 and of course, s-video, is well, s-video, kinda self explanatory...
Yes you can fix this.As you take the back off you will have to remove the case enclosing the dvd player as well as all covers.Make sure you label all connectors with mask tape that you remove.Draw a diagram of all the steps you take so you can put it back together the way it was.Good luck.
