Question about Sumvision Cyclone Micro 3 Media Player

Open Question

Accessing subtitles

I have a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 3 connected by usb to a 1.5TB external box with lots of foriegn films & SRT files Yet am not able to access subtitles as before with an older mkv box. The subtitle menu displays as [subtitles - On] then below that it has [subtitle - Off] with no way of changing as the arrow buttons only go up or down. I have even tried using the older remote that has an option button but to no avail

How to find internal storage on cyclone micro 3

There is a "Firmware" update to Cyclone micro 3 .This can be downloaded from Sumvision web site :-
http://www.sum-vision.co.uk/productinfo/micro3b/micro3b.asp
When downloaded copy the file on to a Memory stick or card and click the USB entry or memory card entry on the main menu, and the Cyclone will update itself .
There should now be an entry on the main menu for "internal storage"

SUMVISION CYCLONE MICRO DOES NOT SHOW ALL MOVIE FILES ON EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

Some video formats may be incompatible with the player.
Your laptop probably has more codecs, so more compatibility.
Try a program like Video Inspector to see formats of different files.

If you already name the subtitle file (.srt) with the same name of movie file (avi, mpeg, mkv etc) all you have to do is press green button on the remote control the turn on/off the subtitle. It works for me.

It seems that subtitle file must have exactly same name as movie file. For example: Movie file: Mission impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission impossible.srt or Mission impossible.sub or Movie file: Mission_impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission_impossible.srt
