I have a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 3 connected by usb to a 1.5TB external box with lots of foriegn films & SRT files Yet am not able to access subtitles as before with an older mkv box.
The subtitle menu displays as [subtitles - On] then below that it has [subtitle - Off] with no way of changing as the arrow buttons only go up or down. I have even tried using the older remote that has an option button but to no avail

There is a "Firmware" update to Cyclone micro 3 .This can be downloaded from Sumvision web site :- http://www.sum-vision.co.uk/productinfo/micro3b/micro3b.asp When downloaded copy the file on to a Memory stick or card and click the USB entry or memory card entry on the main menu, and the Cyclone will update itself . There should now be an entry on the main menu for "internal storage"
If you already name the subtitle file (.srt) with the same name of movie file (avi, mpeg, mkv etc) all you have to do is press green button on the remote control the turn on/off the subtitle. It works for me.
It seems that subtitle file must have exactly same name as movie file.
Movie file: Mission impossible.avi
Subtitle file: Mission impossible.srt or Mission impossible.sub
Movie file: Mission_impossible.avi
Subtitle file: Mission_impossible.srt
it is quite easy to play those anoying subtitles
first name the same way both files (video file and subtitle file)
be sure that both files are in the same folder
insert the cd/dvd in the yht-630
when the menu appears select the subtitle file using the arrow keys and press the "subtitle" key after this at the screen you will see -> subtitle selected
finally select the file that contains the movie (again arrow keys) and press "ok" or "play " key
the movie will start and the subtitles will appear.
it functions with sub and srt files
