Go to:
Apple > System Preferences > Print & Fax > Print and reselect your printer in the
Default printer: box near the bottom of the panel. Then next in the same Print & Fax preference panel, select
Open Print Queue: and
Delete all the Jobs in the Status box and try printing something again.

have no idea exactly what that error means, but now I suspect that when you
"Trashed the EPSON folder in HD\Library\Printers\Epson" you trashed an important part of the OS X and not the installed Epson software.
If you have a backup Time Machine, a backup clone or that file is still in the trash you need to restore it
"HD/Library/Printers/Epson/InkjetPrinters2 or whatever" back to the correct location, run Repair Permissions and hope that fixes it. If not then backup all your files, because it seems like you may have to completely reinstall the OS X....
