Question about Logitech (980240-0403) Microphone
If you go to the control panel and click on sounds, speech, and audio device. After click on Advanced volume control on the left hand side. Click on options and then properties make sure that the mic is selected and hit ok. Then go to options again and click on advanced controls you would see that the advanced controls on the mic showed. Next click on the advanced button and unselect the check marks under the other contols and this should work.

Just make sure that you are hocking up you mic in the right plugs int he back of the computer. just match the colors. you need also to go to the audio panel (it is called volume icon)and check in for mic and make sure that is not muted there. if you use the mic for msn for instance, you need to go to tools, audio and video options and just follow dircetions.good luck

I am frustrated as my Logitech mic does not work. I have the headset and mic in one. I can hear clearly but the mic does not work. I have tried just about everything with volume control etc., nothing is muted. I am now attempting to use Skype for a project but the mic will not work. It is all plugged in correctly. When I plug in the headset and mic Realtek HD Audio Manager comes up and click "ok" as appropriate. What else can I do, I really need this to work as I have a project to work on. Thanks
