Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

"Call failed" when i try to make a call after about 20sec when it start to call in comes up with "Called failed" and when i try to send a sms it come up with "message 1:unable to send 1 of 1 but the fone come up with my service provider and say it has signal. i have tried changing the software but it don't fix it

    thanks for the help VANDEMATARAM but i have tried a couple of different sim cards but the fone still just has the same problems

    thanks for the help but it didn't fix the fone i've been searching the net and found a forum that said the problem might be the Power Amplificator or this chip circled in this picture if anyone know more about this problem please help me

    I had the same problem (but I have the RAZR V3T). I kept on dialing and it gave me a "Call Failed" message. I had to dial the same number about 20 times for it to connect.

    I've tried switching the sim card to my old phone and I still had the same problem.

    Funny things to say, the phone started to work again when I wiped the sim card clean on the metal side.

    Hope this works for all.

When that happened to me all i did was went to:
network setup
and make sure u are under the right network, cuz it resets itself sometimes or your provider doesnt have a strong signal might have to choose another network.

example: i have tmobile but had to use cingular cuz of a stronger signal.

I think it seems that your SIM Card Board has some failed pins. I think you need to replace your SIM board and it may help to resolve the issue. You may need to take the main board out and if I am not wrong that i have fixed this issue before you need to use the soldering gun to remove the defective one and put the new one back. This isuuse was very common on every V3 models when you used them for a while specially, you keep removing the SIM card in and out. I hope this will help you some ideas. If you have tried all these ways and it is still not solve your problem, I believe, your Main Board has defective and need to be replaced. V3 has these common defective as I have fixed so far bunch of them.

I have had this problem (brand new phone, very old sim card) try putting a small piece of card on top of the sim and re-insert - seems to improve the contacts

Put another sim card and see, if it works there is nothing wrong in handset. No need change software.Or try by putting your sim in another phone.I dont think anything wrong in handset

I am able to send MMS messages but get the message "Failed to send" when I try to send a txt.

It sounds like the message center number has been changed in the device, in your sms settings you should find a spot called "message center" and a phone number in there different from your own.You'll need to contact Alcatel for that number.

try to update or re-install software of ur phone.
but first back up ur phone by using sofware called,"My phone explorer.". because wen u will reinstall the software at that time ur phone memory will be formatted including ur phone book and sms.

My sony ericsson p1i cannot send sms...sms send failed

take out your battery, sim and memory stick.. then turn it off for 5 minutes, then turn in on without inserting the memory stick. after that try sending sms again, if it delivered,then try it with memory stick. if u can send sms,then its ok..but if cant then your memory sticks got a suggestion is to format the memory stick..

I can't send sms

ok first thing u do is go to the network provider then ask them if your sms is in active.... most of the problem like this is from the network provider....example network provider PTI. VIRIZON .PT&T etc.

Nokia 6600 : not able to send SMS

selct the memory to memory card (ie message memory) u are saying 15 mb is free in memory card but what about the phone memory.. got to message > options >settings>other settings> then select memory in use select phone meory and try to resend message again
