In my experience, reasons for seeing errors in VST System Link (VSL) are usually due to the digital signal path (audio and/or data) not being routed properly within the System Link dialog box. If for example, you're using s/pdif between two ASIO 2 compatible audio cards properly (OUT of card #1, to IN of card #2 - then OUT of card #2 back IN of card #1), you also have to set your s/pdif System Link I/O channels in the dialog box to the 'same' channel...If say your options are s/pdif channels 9 & 10 (or whatever they are), you set the I/O's of both computers VSL dialog boxes to either channel 9, or all to channel 10. You of course need to route your digital audio properly within your audio interface! (see your cards documentation on that).
You can test if it's routed properly by 'listening' to audio from each computer, from the other...meaning listen at computer 2, from computer 2 & visa-versa. If you hear the audio thhen it should be correct. But in order to 'hear' the audio (besides proper settings in the VSL dialog box) you must 'also' set those digital audio s/pdif channels within Cubase's VST Inputs/connections. But in 'this case', you use both channels 9 & 10 for your Inputs/Outputs. They also say it's best to place your VSL digital audio channels at the top of the Inputs/Outputs list.
You do not need to keep the s/pdif channels in the VST Inputs/connections to make System Link work however, that's if you need to 'listen' or if you need to test whether it's routed properly.
Getting VST System Link working can seem complicated at 1st, but once you understand, and have it working, you realize it's actually not that hard at all. I recommend taking notes, and writing down what you did to make it work, as you go along the way. That has come in very handy when I need to use it again. Also READ your PDF manual and follow that to the letter!

1. Dial 277634#*# on the keypad to access the Test Menu 2. Select Factory Reset 3. Select Yes 4. After the factory reset is complete, you must restart your phone for it to take full effect.
here is a link to your manual: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/archive/VSX-AX4AVi-S/media.html
looks to be an auto calibration the mcacc turned on during the testing and setup phase. you could always put the mcacc in manual mode and go through the settins yourself. Just be aware that the setting you are talking about controls the level of you dialog channel and lowing might cause you to have less ability to hear low dialog.
You will need to know which line(s), and on which station(s) (extensions) you want each line to ring.
Programming is accomplished as follows:
Default Installer Password = INTERCOM *746
You can enable different ringing assignments for individual lines and stations. You must program ringing assignments on a per station/per line basis. You can control ringing for every line that has appearance at a station assigning immediate, or direct, ringing to some lines and delayed ringing to others. NOTE: Do not program direct ringing for lines that you assign to the direct department calling feature. To Program: 1. Dial 54. “STA/LINE CONFIG.” 2. Dial 1 “DIRECT RING” —OR— Dial 2. “DELAY RING” NOTE: For no station ringing, skip step 3 and make no line selection. 3. Select line ports for ringing (LED On = Selected Ports). —Line port 1–14 = Dial 01–14 or press A1–A14 —Line port 15, 16 = Dial 15, 16 or press B1, B2 —Line port 17–24 = Dial 17–24 or press HOLD then press A1–A8. 4. Dial # when all line ports are selected. 5. Select station ports (LED On = Feature Assigned) —Station 10–57: Dial 10–57 or press C10–C57. 6. Dial * when all station ports are selected —OR— dial ** for next station/line ringing assignment —OR— dial ***for configuration mode.
To clear current setting, repeat procedure.
Use an LCD speakerphone and a DSS/BLF console at station port 11 or 13 to see which features are assigned to individual stations. While you can install any non-LCD digital telephone and use it for programming, visual feedback of the programming operations will not be available. You must always keep the handset of the LCD speakerphone on-hook while you use this telephone to program the system.
You can disable this (in the device manager) but this will likely disable the USB ports on the whole machine. To add USB functionality you could install a peripheral add in card, which usually add about 4 ports for $15. This is the way I would go if it were my computer and replacement of the mainboard were not an option.
CHECK
1.DO YOU GET DIAL TONE ON -ON HOOK DIAL BUTTON OR ON THE HANDSET ?
IF NOT PLS CHECK THE PHONE LINE OTHERWISE---
2.TRY RINGING THE MACHINE FROM OTHER PHONE,CAN U HEAR THE RING ? IF YES ,PLS CHECK WHAT NOS OF RINGS ,THE MACHINE IS SET TO RECEIVE, AS WELL AS SET THE CORRECT RECEIVE MODE , I.E. FAX /TEL/ANS-FAX...
3 IF U STILL DON'T GET FAX TONE WHILE RECEVING ,THEN TELEPHONE LINE CARD SHOULD BE BAD...
TRY REPLACING TEH SAME ,SHOULD RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.
