I've worked on a few of these sets and have found C2P08 to cause something like rolling bars in the picture and have found C2P05 to cause lines jumping in the picture.

Tv problemsMitsubishi VS-60705 60 in....

My Mitsubishi Model VS-60705 did the same thing a couple of years ago...A TV repair facility replaced the Video card. Any repair facility facility that works on rear-projection TV's should be able to repair your set.

Whats a quick solution

The problem may be related to bad capacitors on the PIP module. This is a commom fault as vertical sync runs through the PIP board and this is the symptom of the pip board having bad capacitors the TV rolls.

Tv flutter

If your going to do the repairs yourself you can probaly get by fairly cheap, but service techs usually run between 3 and 6 hundred for video problems sounds like a capacitor issue. If you need a service manual and unlimited support for your set go to this link. Its 10.99 for the manual the supports free. They will mail it unless you return to the site and request that they email it along with the instructions on how to obtain the chat support. I am one of their support Techs, Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi VS-60707 60 in. Rear Projection Television

When it gets better after warm up it can be a capacitor in the 160 Volt high voltage circuit or a cold solder joint. these 2 thinks would be my best guess on this set.

The same is true for rear projection. There may be an adjustment for vertical hold in a hole in the back of the cabinet.

Mitsubishi VS-60705 - picture flutters vertically and horizontally

This sounds like one of the 9 volt regulators on the small signal board is going bad, supplying less than 8 volts. I have seen this is several of those sets. The IC needs to be replaced and if you do not have experience in servicing projection TV's then I suggest letting a qualified tech handle it for you.

Horrizontal fluttering when warmed up.

1. HORIZONTAL PULLING AND TEARING, MAY ALSO HAVE VERTICAL ROLLING OR VERTICAL BLANKING BAR LOCKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PICTURE. CHECK C2C52 10 UFD @ 50 V OFF THE BASE OF Q2C51 ON THE SIGNAL PCB. 2. CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 (9-VOLT REGULATOR) ON THE SIGNAL PCB
