SOURCE: Whirlpool ice door flap pivot pin tab broken

I have a Whirlpool side by side, model GC3SHEXNT03 that had the plastic hook that holds the ice door pivot pin. While we can question why they make it out of plastic given the number of posts I've seen with people having the same fear that I had....Replacing the whole darn door to fix 1 little piece of molded plastic. I found some posts about an Ice Door Repair kit, but wasn't sure if it would fix my issue. Luckily I live about 8 miles from the RepairClinic.com warehouse in Michigan, so I went to talk to them to see. Nothing in the discussion was definative, but the have a 30 day return policy so I bought the kit for $74 (ouch!) and it worked beautifully. I have an ice dispenser once again. I know what some of you may be thinking...I work for them....Nope, I'm a computer techie that HATES paying repairmen!! And I'm posting this in the hopes of saving someone the 2 weeks of Googleing that I did trying to find a solution, short of replacing the door. Here is the link to the kit, I hope it helps somebody out there.... http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts?s=t-8201756-%3d%3d should be Item #1164531

SOURCE: I have a Dometic rm2652 refrigerator the door hinge broke

the hinge is not plastic, only the insert sleeve that goes into the hole atop the door is plastic. If the actual hinge (metal arm) is broke, then you need to order a new part (not difficult if frig is 20 years or less). If you cannot find the part, go to a metal shop and show them the broken part, they usually can repair it or remake a new piece.
If the hole in the door went bad (that is: if the hole tore open and cannot hold the hinge pin) you need to have a metal repair brace added to the door. This will involve the metal shop or a good mechanic that can come to you and do the neccessary repair at the house; otherwise you need to bring the door to the metal shop. macgivor

SOURCE: Really Up Sh/t Creek With Fridge Door Hinge (broken bolt)

Put 2 lock washers under the remaining 2 screws and dont over tighten.
This should hold the door fine just do not over load the door.
Go to the hardware store and get 2 new hardened screws if you think you damaged the remaining 2 screws.

If they dont have any that will fit try an auto parts store.

How do i repair sagging drivers door on 92 ford bronco ?

Car doors in general can wear out hinges / hinge pins due to the weight of the door. You can replace the hinges - but that can be costly. You can try replacing the pins and installing bushing for a fraction of the cost with these or those similar:

Door sags 1996 buick

If you have to lift up on the door and or close it hard--likely a bad hinge --each door has two and you can look into replacing the whole hinge or there are kits with the pin and bushings that can be used to repair a hinge.

Driver door would be most common if car that age and you may just need one of the two hinges replaced/repaired.

Door won't shut completely. Inside panel catches on bottom of interior almost tearing off panel. How do I replace bushings on door hinge

You can buy a hinge repair kit at most good auto parts stores.

You will have to support the door while open, and remove the pin from the bad hinge. Most kits then require you drill a hole where the pin was and press in a bushing. Reinsert the pin (or the new pin if your kit came with it) and remove whatever was supporting your door.

This can be done with one person if you're careful, but it's easier if you have a helper to keep control of the door.

You can also remove the hinge completely on certain vehicles, allowing to repair the hinge at a workbench.

Press heater zone buttons, doesn't change areas. doesn't open and closevent blocks

There are tubes connected to the back of the control unit that go to door actuators. Get a cheep had vacuum pump and hook it to each actuator and see if each door opens and the diaphragms inside are not leaking if they all work replace the control unit. If the doors have broken off and are laying in the bottom of the heating unit you need to replace the whole unit under dash. On extreme 4x4 or the show trucks they had a repair kit for dodge and chevy. The doors open and close just like a cheep plastic tool box with no hinges just a piece of thin plastic that bends back and forth till it breaks. The kit comes with metal hinges and new doors

Pins on the fuel door broke. Can I fix that or do I need to order a whole new door kit. I cannot find them online anywhere.

I still had the gas door, so I went to Home Depot and bought 4 round heavy duty magnets and secured them with epoxy inside the four corners of the gas door and body of the car around the fill area. Now my gas door just attached by magnets instead of a hinge.
