SOURCE: lower half or EKG would not print properly

You should purchase a printer kit. This is a common problem I have encoutntered on this machine and this machine is identical to the Seca CT6I. I have ordered the printer kit from Seca in the UK, the part number is 9740490024 at a cost of £70. It is a straightforward repair.

Schiller machine is not printing

If the unit print lightly or not printing anything at all?
The most common causes for not printing ECGs is one of those:
1- Too little heat on the stylus
2- Insufficient stylus pressure on the paper
Solutions:
1- Using an insulated probe, such as a screwdriver, gently press the stylus onto the paper.
2- If a dark line appears on the paper, the problem is too little pressure, but if no dark line appears, the problem is not enough heat.

I ahve a schiller welch allen EKG machine, and now it only prints

If it stops printing completely in the middle of doing the print, it is because the battery is bad and needs to be replaced.
If it only prints some of the leads but it does print the full report it is because you have the leads mixed up (Wrong spot on the patient) or the leads are mislabeled or some of the clips or electrodes are bad.
I can fix these. Let me know if you need help.

Schiller Welch Allyn Cardiovit At 2

Hello LV792727, Disconnect the AC & battery power and proceed with caution. Open the case to aquire access to the thermal print head. Clean the print head with a white eraser, the type used for cleaning ink prints not the #2 pencile eraser. Test the printing function. If necessariy use a Q-Tip with a light touch of Aceatone to whip the print head. The next step is replacing the printing element. Please inform me of the results. Good luck.
