SOURCE: help tv comes on and goes right back off

A common problem with this model is the convergence IC's on the small signal module going bad and keeping the set from staying on due to protective shutdown circuits used. If that is your problem, the easiest fix would be to replace the module - Philips Part #313503710091, about $200 or so, or have a technican replace both IC's Stk392-120, Philips Part #932212344682 about $45.00 each plus labor and service charge of course. Other parts could be bad, but this is likely what I would try first.
