The problem is that the drivers for the OuickCam Proo 5000 mic screws up the drivers for your audio card. I have this same problem, but I can't find a working fix for it anywhere.

They may need to increase the mic volume in the sound settings, and even better if they are using a laptop it may well have mic boost in the settings. Tell them also to make sure they set the cam up in the relevant im programme they are using.

Mic has quit working on Quickcam Pro 5000

Did you by chance mute it in the computers sound manager or a specific program (msn, yahoo)? These settings tend to over-ride the Logitech console settings.

I have installed QuickCam Pro 5000.

Your PC has a Sigmatel sound card (or a sound chipset designed by Sigmatel). You will want to choose the Logitech mic for the tuning wizard. What exact error are you getting? Please be more specific with OS being used, applications, etc.

Cannot see.

You have to set up the camera's audio and video in the I.M programme you use, as the drivers alone only work with the Logitech software. also be aware you have to let other people see that you have a web cam in the settings.
