How do I connect a mac audio output to a yamaha sound projector?
I am trying to connect audio output from my computer to a yamaha ysp-800. Is it possible to use the 3.5 mm plug in the coaxial digital input? If so, what kind of adapter is needed?
Thanks,

Re: How do I connect a mac audio output to a yamaha sound...
NO!!! get a 3.5 male TRS to stereo RCAs to either the Aux input on the amp or the audio portion of the front A/V Aux. the audio jacks will be red and white.

Did you ever get a solution to this? mine is doing the same. i press the mute button and it says audio mute off but no sound still and volume indicator keeps on flashing.
The best way to get quality sound would be to go through the USB connection of the phone.
It will be hard and a bit costly to get a cable to link the Ipod and projector.
Easiet and economical way is to go to apple and purchase a cable for the jaudio jack at the top of the Ipod that will also have an audio jack connector for the projector
Two possibilities: 1. Your source material does not contain bass frequencies. 2. Your SUBWOOFER SET - BASS OUT is set to Front, rather than SWFR (subwoofer). See page 63 of the manual.
