Your phone's headphone jack port is shorting. Try turning the phone off then dry it with a hair dryer for 5 minutes. Turn it back on and see if it helps, if it doesn't well you now have a permanent damage on your phone, its probably the headphone port controller, its busted...
Same thing happened to me about a month and a half ago. I own a 680. I had to open the unit to try to dry where water leaked in. A cellphone technician advised me to try a vaccum cleaner to **** the water. But I didnt do it. I used paper towels. Next get a Ziploc bag and fill it with about 1/3 cup of rice. Leave it sealed for a week. Rice absorbs any remaining humidity inside the cell. Then, try to assemble it partially to test it. If nothing happens leave it another week. I used a hair dryer, at some point to make sure it was dry, but dont overdo it cause extreme heat can damage components. Be careful at opening, I disconnected the LCD data ribbon and its been difficult to stick it back together. Now today, finally I was able to turn it on and everything works fine with the exception of the LCD light. I can see whats on the screen but I need an external light source, maybe replacing the LCD screen will fix it. Good luck with the repair.
um u should of got a hair dryer and let it dry but um the back light is not to expensive u can gte a new one of ebay fro about 8 dollards and i htink u can take it to any radioschack thats were i got my black berry fix i had kind of the same problem but the keypad lights went off
you are lucky this time your phone is working tis time your phone is working and there is no way you can get your screen back but remember next timeif your phone goes through wash do not start it immediately let dry for atleast 3 days or else if you start it short circuit takes place for.now get a new phone for yourself
Mine got wet about a week ago - see my original response.. The screen was just flickering and I could see condensation on the screen. I kept hoping it would dry out, but days went by with no change. Yesterday I finally put it on the dash of my car and let it sit in the sun all day. When I came out of work that evening, the Zen seemed completely dead - and HOT! I let it cool down and plugged it into the charger - still nothing. But this morning -YAY! It is completely functional again!
It must be a connection problem, to the LCD, or the light is not working.
Can only be sorted by looking at it really.
Back to Telstra I'm afraid. If it's new let them sort it out, if it's not try a reset take the sim card out first then input this code *#7780# (Best to use this code as a last resort) Give it time to work.
