Its the line of cameras Philips no longer supports or offers any type of support for this product of theirs yet it is still sold in stores. If you have your receipt take it back to where you got it(likely walmart) and tell them to stop selling crappy known faulty equipment. I had thought 'ooh what savings'...and its a philips...i'm learning more & more philips makes products that suck and then sells them with now follow up to the consumer whatsoever. I've had 4 different problems with philips products in the last year...For webcam go spend $30 and buy a nice new logitech at least they offer support.
Go to the settings in the cam software the Gamma settings may be too high.
Also set the cam up in your IM programme as this is required.
If all else fails uninstall the driver and re install again.
If the problem persists it may be a faulty cam.

probably on the cam settings it ha a case where it said black and white ...this case must free in order to see colored captures....so ..take a look it is placed somewhere in the right ( low) ...I hope you know how to get on camera settings...if not try this.. there are two ways: one its to open the AM cap and select from the window...options /video capture filter...and than uncheck the B/W case.. the other is to access the preferences in yahoo messenger ....camera settings...an the same ..uncheck the BW... Good luck ..and hopefully its from there ...if it isnt this one ...must be something wrong with the web cam ....let me know how it worked out..!
1- scan your computer from virus and malware.
2- remove the old driver of the web cam.
3- download and install a new driver for the cam.
you can download the driver from the official site of the computer or have it from cd if you ahve it, else try this online solution to have a glob veiw of your computer and drivers: http://www.ma-config.com/accueil_en.html
Something probably corrupted your webcam software or configuration. Probably the best is to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and the software. Please check http://www.pcauthorities.com/pc-errors/how-to-fix-webcam-problems
The drivers should be here: https://www.shopezonics.com/Articles.asp?ID=108
my suggestion is to uninstall the driver for web cam and reinstall. this. windows install wizard will help with this.make sure you still have the install cd that cam with the web cam.
Hi,
You have to reset the camera settings. In your Camera Preferences, switch between setting of Low light, AE, Outdoors, etc., Apply and choose what setting is to your preference, Apply again and OK.
I found that setting the Camera's Options/Preferences while using Yahoo Messenger sets the camera to my desired setting (no longer greenish). However, it reverts back once I rebooted.
Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
I cant see reason why changing a service provider would cause problems with your web cam, unless the software provided has a built in firewall/internet security programme and it is blocking any attempt your cam is trying to connect to the internet.
If this is the case then there will be an options or preferences, or exception menu within it and make sure that the instant messenger programme you are using isn't being blocked.
You may need to disconnect the camera and uninstall the camera software and reconnect and reinstall and see if the security programme pops up and advises you as to whether to allow it to run or not, but, if nothing shows try another instant messenger programme, preferably Windows live messenger, as this would be allowed and is compatable with most cams and other instant messenger programmes.
