Either your nand flash.. /memory permanently stored on your unit is corrupt and isn't receiving any instructions.. or something with your LCD. Could be a loose LCC cable inside from the main board. other then those.. just refer back to my previous statement ;)
good luck.

Senshin,
Red- 12 volts switched (ignition)
Yellow- 12 volts constant
Black- Ground
Blue/white stripe- remote amp turn on/ power antenna
If you have any orange wires there for the Illumination dimmer. (head unit dims when you turn the lights on). The white and gray are front speakers and purple and green are for the rear, solid being + and black striped being -. (gray and purple are right channels)Make sure that the RCA plugs go to the input side of the amp. I hope this helps, Ray
How well did you clean it, there are 2 connections to the lcd screen up front maybe one of those became unpugged. You have to be careful cleaning around the circuit boards because body static can ruin a circuit board. Its possible that happened . I had a problem with a lcd screen going bad and the unit would not come on and just stay lit like your describing. I replaced the screen and it was fine.
I had that issue and I opened the unit and there was a fuse near where the power went in. Went to the small local hardware store and they ordered it. It was well under $5 (can't remember) but it still works over 10 years later.
If the fuse blew again I would have trashed the unit.
It is my understanding that when this happens to your screen, its done, over, trash, use to be, gone, finished, time to go shoping for another, the end.
Understand?
