TV will not turn on!

I have a philips 17" LCD Flat TV, model # 17PF9936. Is there a bulb that I can replace, or any fuses that could be bad? Where might I find part numbers for replacement bulbs/fuses etc.?? Before tearing into this, I wanted to gain any advice possible, since I do not have any schematics or service manuals. I would appreciate any and all advice, Thanks!!

Mine has finally stopped working. When switched on the sound was present but it took up to 10 mins to show the picture. The picture displayed and then started rolling, then switches its self off. I have a red light pulsing. Any ideas as i dont want to scrap it, i cant find a repairer anywhere?

Since I conected the wii my Philps Flat screen Tv stopped working. The Tv does not turn on. As soon as I press the power button a green light comes on, but a second later a flashing red botton remains on. The remote control does not work at all even though the lights light up. Any advise for my problem. Thx.

The part that went out on mine was a wire harness. And fixed it and now it works.

Screen is blank

Hello

The issue might be that your monitor is not getting enough voltage to turn on properly.

If the monitor is plugged into a surge protector, remove it and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the monitor works fine, the surge protector is not allowing enough power thru it for the monitor to work correctly - replace the power strip.

If there is no change, then your monitor is going out.

Opened my unit, a Philips 17PF9936-37 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor.

if the unit is not powering on at all then it is the power board (the one with the voltage coils, if it is powering on then replace the board with the two heatsinks(video board.)

How to replace lcd tv bulb

Most of those models you replaced them through the front. The lower front panel pulls off. Some models have a knob that must be loosen on the back of the set at each end. Once the front panel is taken off the Lamp door is easily accessed. The new Lamp from Sony will come with the proper Wrench to remove and reinstall lamp.
Hope this helps,
