Ah..yes..mi friend, i was in that spot one time. one suggestion i have is-make sure the blank cd you are trying to record on is a "compact disc DIGITAL audio"...or try hitting the "input select" button.

Tray wont open - Fisher CD-RW1000 2-Disc CD Recorder

With a bit of luck it's just a belt that has broken or fell off, which can easily be replaced.
You just need to look inside.

My Fisher CD Player heats up right after plugged in. Unplug, cools off, same problem when replugged. Why?

check the voltage of the new charger
If it heats so quickly the I suspect that the adapter is not correct voltage for the player.

The quick answer is that you're trying to use a blank Data CD on a consumer AUDIO recorder. No can do.

This is true for ALL consumer audio CD recorders. Buy blank media that has Audio or Music printed right on it.

I have a Phillips CDR 775 2 -disc cd recorder and my track time is automatically set to 20 seconds. How do I increase this time per track? Also, I cannot seem to get the auto track to work when...

It's all in the manual...

20 seconds is the amount of digital 'silence' the machine will let pass during recording before it marks a new track. t will Pause and wait one minute for a digital signal to resume. (Page 21)

On digital copying it will automatically increment track numbers as the source advances.

For analog sources you should switch Auto Track to OFF and manually press Track as applicable. (Page 28)

Im trying to records mix cd but isnt changing

• To switch off the Auto Track function you have to enter
Menu mode.
If you wish to increase track numbers manually, press
TRACK INCR(ement) on the remote control. For further
instructions see Menu mode.
ON (AUTO): The track increments are automatically taken over
from the digital source material or after 2.7
seconds silence during analog recording.
OFF (MANUAL): While recording track numbers can be
incremented manually by pressing TRACK
INCR(ement) on the remote control.
(Minimum track length is 4 sec.) (This can
also be done in Auto track ON mode.)

Fisher CD-RW1000 2-Disc CD-dvd stuck in player

hmmmm.... try to take off the cover of your dvd player and observe it.(if you try my advice, try it in your own risk and with caution) then check the tray maybe there is something got stuck in there and also check the gears, if nothing, a belt just came off. check the motor too, I guess It has 2 switches too. clean them up. and then try to power up.

note:
(keep you fingers away at the power supply section)
