It won't turn on. It worked when I used it last fall. I checked the extension cords, the outlet, tried both the blower and the vac sections, ensuring the parts were snapped in correctly because I know that's part of the safety feature, still no-go. Any suggestions?
SOURCE: Toro Blower..No power. Like a blown fuse. Does it have a fuse?
I have the Toro 51591 model. Yesterday, mine did the same as yours. I opened up the case and found that a small cylinder had broken off of the switch. So it could be that your switch is the problem. I have been unable so far to find a replacement anywhere.
You should consider using your warranty.
Testimonial: "Thanks. I checked the manual first though and read that the impeller cover if not properly closed will not allow it to turn on. That worked. Thanks"

You must use at least a 12 guage extention cord . Your current cord mostlikely can not handle those amount of amps for long duration of time.

I had the same problem - then the motor went shortly afterwards. time to by a new one - frustrating because I've only had it for a couple of years.

I could be a variety of things. Did you have a very long cord on it? did the cord loosen the plug? are you sure the outlet is still good, Also you may need to wait a few hours for a thermal reset to reset.
