When I try to take a picture it says it is charging flash, I turn off flash and it does the same. Replace batteries and left it on thinking it does need to charge from the battery, but no luck

I have the same problem with one identical camera. The "charging flash" will stay forever and I can't take any pictures. I was able to delete the contents from the flash card, but that's all. Xavier

  • Hold down the hold button at the top left of the touch (on the 4th generation model the button is on the top right) and the home button at the center front of the device.
  • Continue holding them even after the slider to turn off the touch appears. Do not let go at this point.
  • A few seconds after this, the screen will flash and go black. At this point, the touch has been rebooted.
  • Hold down the hold button at the top left until the screen lights up again and the Apple logo appears.
  • Release the button and let the iPod touch finish booting up and you'll be ready to rock again.

My iphone 3g will not turn on, will not be detected by the computer, and i cannot tell if its even charging

Try holding both buttons, the round one in front of the screen (home button) and the one on top (lock button). Hold both buttons pressed for 10 seconds, the screen will flash and your iPhone will reboot. Connect it to the charging cable and wait for a couple of minutes so the iPhone has enough charge to turn on again.

My iphone 3g s wont turn on.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond
    1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
    2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

    More resets:
    Try This:
    1. Remove Sim Card
    2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
    3. Replace Sim Card
    4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

    Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
    2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

Wont take a picture unless I turn off the flash

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't take a picture when the shutter button is pressed, or with an inoperative flash. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

    The camera wont turn on

hi...ensure that the camera is turned on. If applicable, ensure the lens cover has been removed before taking pictures. the LCD backlight is turned on by pressing the DISPLAY button several times until the screen appears. Depending on the camera model, the DISPLAY button may be labeled as DISP or with a display icon. This button could be a standalone button or it depends upon the camera model.....
If operating the camera with a battery, ensure the battery is fully charged.
Ensure the battery is inserted properly in the camera.
If operating the camera with the power adapter, ensure it is plugged into a working AC outlet.
Ensure no Audio/Video (A/V) cables are connected for viewing pictures on a TV; the LCD screen will not display when an A/V cable is connected.
Perform a reset procedure on the camera....

How do i get brighter pictures

There are only two options for adjusting the brightness of pictures in this camera, exposure and flash setting.

    1. Flash Options: The flash is off by default. To turn it on you must press the button with the crooked down-arrow label between the DISP and MENU buttons, and the flash status will display in the top right-hand corner of the display screen. OFF displays the crooked down-arrow and a circle with a line through it. Press the button once for AUTO, displays the crooked down arrow with an "A" next to it. Press the button once more to force the flash, displays the crooked arrow only in the top right-hand display. Regardless of mode, the display will blink rapidly while the flash is charging and remain solid when it is charged and ready for use. Keep pressing the crooked down-arrow button to scroll continuously through the three OFF/AUTO/ON options.

    2. Exposure setting: Press MENU, then the left arrow on the top right-hand four-way button on the camera until the COLOR menu is selected. Scroll down to EXPOSURE and press the MENU button again. You will see EV on the display. Use the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the exposure setting. 0.0 is default, you can go up to +1.5 or down to -1.5. Press MENU to exit when you're done. +1.5 would be the maximum brightness setting.

    Using flash freezes up camera

When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged
before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it
    could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.

You could still try these steps below:

    First, do the POWER RESET:
    - Turn off camera
    - Remove batteries for a minute
    - Reload batteries
    - Turn on camera

    Second, do the MASTER RESET
    - Be in AUTO mode
    - Press on MENU button
    - Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
    - Scroll down until you see RESET
    - Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
    - Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
    - Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed

Turn it on and take a picture.
When you want to have just the AUTO FLASH.

    - Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM
    - Press the LEFT/FLASH button until you've seen the
LIGHTNING icon with the Letter A on the leftmost part of the screen
    - Try to take a picture by pressing and holding the shutter button
halfway first for 3-5 seconds and then press it all the way down

If it still does not work, you need to contact the Manufacturer.

My camera wont click (take pictures)

try replacing the batteries with new ones, and if it persists you should contact casio customer support. hopefully you're still within the warranty period, because they will over charge even on minor repairs(they all do). there is a problem with the shutter mechanism, either electronic in nature, or mechanical. the click you're hoping to hear is the shutter release, and its not releasing. give them a call, get a repair estimate, and if its too high try finding a repair person with good hands that wants to have a go at it. nothing but good luck ;]
